About reordering PDF pages
Documents do not always arrive in the right order. A multi-page scan comes out back-to-front, someone emails the appendix before the main body, or a presentation has two slides swapped. Reordering lets you fix the sequence permanently so the reader sees the content in the order you intended, without asking them to jump around the file.
Drag on desktop, tap on mobile
On a desktop or large tablet you can drag thumbnails directly into the order you want. A drag handle on each tile makes it obvious where to click and pull. On a phone or any device where drag feels awkward, each page has Move up and Move down buttons that shift it one position at a time. The labels automatically switch to Move left and Move right on wider grids, so the direction always matches what you see on screen.
Every thumbnail also shows its original page number, so a page that started as page seven is still recognisable even after it has been moved to position two. Once the order changes, the tile displays its new position as well, which makes it easy to spot exactly what has shifted and to confirm the sequence before downloading.
Reverse and reset
Quick actions save time when the order is almost right but backwards. Reverse order flips the entire sequence in one tap, which is perfect for a stack of scans that loaded last-page-first. Reset order returns everything to the original document sequence if your experiments have gone wrong. Both are instant and reversible, so you can try them without risk.
Quality and privacy
PDFTools rebuilds the document by copying pages in your chosen sequence, never by re-rendering them as images. That means text remains selectable and searchable, vector lines stay crisp, and file size stays close to the original. The whole process happens locally in your browser; the document is not uploaded, nothing is stored on a server, and no sign-up is needed.
