Rotate PDF

PDFTools shows every page as a thumbnail, so you can see at a glance which ones are wrong. Rotate a single page, select a handful, or apply the same turn to the whole document in one action. Rotations are made in ninety-degree steps and are cumulative: two turns to the right flip a page completely, and four bring it back where it started. The thumbnails update as you go, which means you can check the result before downloading rather than after.

This is genuinely useful for mixed documents, where a report of upright pages contains two wide tables that were scanned sideways. Turn just those two and leave everything else untouched.

Rotating in PDFTools changes each page's rotation property rather than redrawing the page as an image. Nothing is rasterised, so text stays selectable and searchable, vector graphics stay sharp at any zoom, fonts and links survive, and the file size barely changes. That matters because a lot of tools quietly convert pages to pictures when they rotate them, which bloats the document and destroys the text layer.

Because the rotation is stored in the file itself, every reader, printer and viewer will show the pages the right way up — unlike rotating temporarily inside a PDF viewer, which usually only affects your own screen. The work is done entirely in your browser, so the document is never uploaded, nothing is retained, and no account is needed.
